HERE’S WHAT NATE SHEETS DOESN’T WANT TEXAS VOTERS TO KNOW

Nate Sheets claims he was sexually abused at aged 5 and 10, which is why he had multiple affairs and was ‘plagued by Pornography.’

“Well, I quit drinking, you know, which seemed to be at the source of a lot of my numbing, newness and boredom. And, you know, just so you know, that’s one aspect spent a lot of time in counseling and therapy and understanding, and it’s I say this without giving it any excuse, giving my actions or the decisions that I made any excuse, but recognizing, you know, sexual abuse at age five and 10 and, and exposure to pornography at that time and understanding the role that, that play, you know, and me being in this triggering loop of, of being plagued by pornography and sexual sins…”

Even worse, Sheets’ affair was with his own Assistant at the ministry. He was force to leave his job to avoid a media scandal.

 “But I would just say specifically around me and my departure from ‘I am Second’ about six months after I saw what the Lord told me to leave ‘I am Second’ – I wouldn’t or couldn’t. I wound up having an inappropriate relationship with my Assistant, and left “I am Second” in a fashion that I never in my wildest dreams ever thought I would succumb to…”

After Sheets left the ministry, rather than owning up to his infidelity he “went away as quietly as possible” (Sheets’ own words).

“So I wonder, reverting back, started to look at pornography” ”…I became a master of image management. And, you know, being in ministry and having the same struggle and not being in a church environment or they really encourage a model authenticity and transparency community. I just really was isolated and not transparent, authentic with anybody and continued just with their struggle for a number of years. And, you know, obviously, my wife found out and that became a source of great frustration in our marriage and between she and I. And that’s what kind of led up to that ultimate betrayal in 2010 when I was with ‘I am Second.’”

Nate Sheets talks about how his Alcoholic drinking and Pornography addiction became a larger issue while working at the company he actually named after himself: Nature Nates.

“You know, I really became over time much more intentional about trying to figure out how we [garbled] as a Kingdom by selling honey, yet on the personal side continue to struggle quite candidly. You know, you’d think you’d hit this complete explosion in your life. And yet Patty was still hurt. And so there was a number of years that I just, you know, continued to struggle quite candidly and started drinking more. And I think that was associated with shame and I still was struggling with pornography and it became a bigger issue.”

Sheets behavior was so bad he felt compelled to join a Men’s group on Sex Addiction and Pornography

 “…and got involved with some counseling groups. One group called Seven Pillars, which is for sex addiction and guys, the struggle of pornography and its accountability and therapy groups he worked through.”

Is there anything about Nate Sheets that’s not an excuse for his immoral behavior or his lack of personal accountability?

“I need to live in an authentic community and transparency. Quite candidly, if someone is offended or doesn’t like that, then that’s not on me.” – Nate Sheets

His ability to serve and take office is in grave doubt. Sheets was only able to get on the ballot due to the incompetence of the now defeated and disgraced former State Republican Chairman leaving the Republican Party with an ineligible party candidate.
